LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (ACRN) - The Arksnsas Supreme Court struck a major blow for privacy rights on Friday when they struck down a portion of a law that bans students and teachers from having a realtionship, even if both are over 18. The Court has struck down the portion that makes it apply to students over the age of 18.
The Court got it RIGHT when they made that ruling. If you are over 18, it is nobody's FUCKING business but your OWN what you do in your OWN bedroom. This ruling could have WIDE-RANGING legal impliications that go well BEYOND the schools.
In our analsysis, this ruling would apper to make the US Figure Skating ban on coach/student relationships also unconsitutional. US Figure Skating has had a ban for some years against coaches, and their students, having any kind of romantic relationship, EVEN if both parties are over 18.
This ONE ruling by the Arkansas Supreme Court could set the legal precedent for any coach or student, in the future, to being one HELLASHUS lawsuit against US Figure Skating, should they try to enforce that rule in the future.
This also means that the proposed law in California by right-wing whackjob Kristen Olsen is also unconsitutional, based on the court's decision.
The Court is to be COMMENDED for upholding the privacy rights of those over 18 and bring the "Nanny State" down a few pegs.
